the Great Wall Courtyard youth hostel organises three exiting tours around Badaling. Because our guesthouse is located in this beautiful area at the foot of the Great Wall, with our tours you can spend more time hiking and sightseeing because you don't have the long drive back and forward to Beijing city. Tour 1: The broken Great Wall When you stay in our guesthouse you can visit the restored Great Wall of Badaling, but when you participate in this tour we will bring you to the broken Great Wall, which is only one kilometer away. Climbing the Broken Great Wall is adventurouse because there is no easy path to follow and sometimes parts may even be overgrown by plants and bushes.  Therefore, this tour will give you a good impression about the Great Wall as it is all the way going into the west, but be prepared and wear closed shoes and long trousers.  The tour starts at h9.00 from our questhouse and will take about 4 to 5 hours,so you will be back at our questhous between 13.00h and 14.00h. The price a person is 180rmb. The price includes a tour guide. Tour 2: Long qing xia gorge  Long qing xia is one of the most famous gorges of China, and is at a 40 minutes drive distance from Badaling. The tour will start at 9:00h from our questhouse. We will climb in the mountains and make a boat tour and have lunch (a picknick) around 12:30h. After lunch we will visit the temple on the mountains and a natural cave. If you like you can also go for a bungy jump ( 50 meters above the water). We will be back before dinner time. The tour will only cost a 310rmb a person. (ticket prices included).If you like to go for the bungee jump however, it will cost you an extra 150rmb Tour 3: Guyaju Guyaju is an historical sight of 1000 years old located in the tranquil gorge at a 45 minutes drive distance from our questhouse. Guyaju exist out of 174 cave houses made in the gorge. The history about Guyaju and the people who created it is debated among historiens. The tour will start at 9.00h from our questhouse and you will be back around 14:00h. The tour will const only a 220rmb a person. (ticket prices included) All tours are only provided when there are a minimum of four participants.  when you are with less people however, the price will  be  different.
